Crawford's CEVC Primary School

Together we care, inspire and achieve

Our Project

One of the school’s current goals is to improve the outdoor learning space at Crawford’s.  Whilst the increase in pupil numbers at the school is fantastic news for the school and community, currently our outdoor space is a barrier to creating the best possible learning environment for our pupils.

Our plans include, replacing part of the garden area at the front of the school with an all-weather surface, whilst maintaining part of the green space so that children continue to have access to a garden area.

This project will impact on all of the pupils in our school by:

  • Providing an area where children can play; developing social skills and supporting their creative development
  • Providing a safe space for children to play and learn; alleviating space on the playground at lunch and play times
  • Creating an outside space that can be accessed all year around

By developing our garden area, our aim is to:

  • Bring life to concepts learned in the classroom
  • Develop an understanding nature
  • Promote attitudes of caring for the environment in which we live
